Tampa Bay Florida is home to some of the best beaches in Florida including public beaches (Siesta Key, Sand Key) and Florida State Parks (Caledesi Island, Honeymoon Island, Fort De Soto and Egmont Key). Most of these are award winners as Best Beaches!

With temperatures in the mid 70s year round, this popular family fun spot is a busy beach where you’ll never be bored for lack of things to do.

Tampa Florida itself is always full of life and hustle and bustle so it’s great to be able to mix that with some time getting that perfect golden glow while loafing on pristine white sandy beaches.

The beaches provide a perfect complement to the big fun all around because you always know that at the end of a busy day, you can sit on the beach and unwind for awhile while the kids play in the water.

Home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team, as well as hockey league- Tampa Bay Lightning. Jai-Alai is popular here, also. Tampa has been dubbed “the sports capital of the USA.”

Two baseball teams- the Cincinnati Reds and the New York Yankees -do their spring training here as well, making the city a favorite destination of sports lovers of all kinds.


Great activities to try and nearby attractions:

  • There are so many great beaches in the Tampa Bay area, public as well as state parks, so try to see them all because we know you will be back and you will know what is available.
  • Spend the day riding the river rapids by canoe or hiking on the nature trails at Hillsborough River State Park.
  • At the Florida Aquarium there are over 10,000 sea animals and plants where you can enjoy live shows and interactive exhibits that the entire family is sure to enjoy.
  • If you’re in town at the end of January, you have to go to the Gasparilla Pirate Fest where people dress up like pirates and put on shows and a parade as well as a fireworks display.


Kids of most ages: Fun for everyone and probably the most famous of Tampa’s attractions, is Busch Gardens.

When people hear Tampa Bay Florida, they usually think immediately of Busch Gardens and everyone in the family will love this attraction.

Eating: There are so many places to choose from, you’re sure to find places to please any palette.

Experience some delicious food hot off the grill at First Choice Southern BBQ or enjoy some laid-back pub food and beer at Tampa Bay Brewing Company.

Sleeping: On a budget? Quality Inn & Suites is an affordable choice that is within driving distance to the beach and many attractions.

If you can afford a little more and golf is your sport, stay at Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club.

If you are flying, Tampa Bay Florida is a good central location for central and south Gulf beaches and the airport is easy in and out.
