Lido Beach Florida

Lido Beach Florida is located on Lido Key and this crescent shaped beach IS really a diamond in the rough. It’s right by Sarasota but offers a less populated alternative to the bustling atmosphere of Sarasota.

Beautiful Lido Beach

You can have your cake and eat it, too. You can have an almost private beautiful beach by day and by night, all the culture, charm and attractions of Sarasota.

The most unique feature on Lido Beach is probably its heated in-ground pool. If the water on the beach is cold, don’t fret because you can still take a comfortable dip in the pool or dive off its diving board.

Nude sunbathing was allowed here in the 80’s and some seem to forget what year it is, so beware of the occasional nude sunbather.

Take a walk on the wild side- on one of the winding beach nature trails that occupy the beach, along with the other two beaches on Lido Key- North Lido and South Lido.

Great activities to try and nearby attractions:
  • Bring your favorite credit card along and shop along St. Armand’s Circle that has been dubbed the “Rodeo Drive” of the area with lots of upscale shops and boutiques.
  • Take a tour of the mansion, grounds, art and circus exhibits sure to dazzle at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. Whether you’re interested in circus history or not, this is a sight that must be seen if you’re in the Sarasota area.

  • Enjoy a day of fun and learning about ocean wildlife and preservation at the Mote Marine Aquarium where you can watch sharks and other marine species in the 135,000 gallon tank here.

Kids of most ages: If you’ve got a birthday or special occasion to celebrate for you or the little ones or want to have a fun night out just because, book a private room at Kroaky’s Karaoke.

The entire family can work their singing voices here although most of your time will probably be spent laughing, but that’s half the fun!

Eating: There aren’t any places other than concession stands on Lido Beach to grab a bite but its neighbor Sarasota has unlimited options.

Check out Yoder’s Restaurant or Stonewood Grill and Tavern.

Sleeping: Stay in one of the many hotels in Sarasota like the affordable and highly rated Southland Inn or the cozy Hotel Ranola.

Here is a quick way for you to check out and see what all is offered in Sarasota, Florida.
