Sebastian Inlet State Park

Sebastian Inlet State Park is known for excellent surfing conditions and home to many annual surfing competitions. Surfing is not the only thing you can do at this gorgeous park.

It is also a very popular fishing spot, where fishers can catch snook, redfish and bluefish, Spanish mackerel and much more from the jetties, where you can also enjoy an incredible view.

Try any or all of these: Canoeing, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving are other popular activities as the park.

There are also opportunities to explore nature, such as a relaxing walk along the beautiful hammock nature trail.

The park is also a great place for bird watchers- over 200 species have been spotted.

Enjoy a day of sunbathing and swimming or take a surfing lesson if you like.

I took a surfing lesson once and there is nothing like standing up on a surf board, even briefly, and even if your instructor is holding you and the board so someone can get your picture.

Doesn't hurt too much at the time but the waves fling the surf board at you in all directions, constantly hitting you over your entire body and I bruise easily. A couple hours later I looked like I had been beaten with a baseball bat.

Camp out at the full service camping facility and prolong your visit as long as you can to this peaceful and gorgeous park, where the beaches and nature will provide you with a great temporary escape from reality.
