Little Talbot Island State Park

Little Talbot Island State Park is one of the best surfing beaches in northeast Florida so come for the big waves and stay for the beauty of the beach. Located in Jacksonville, the beach is 5 miles long with huge waves.

If surfing isn’t your thing, lazing on a gorgeous beach just might be and the beaches are incredible with white sugary sand and blue-green water. Shelling is always fun so try your luck as you walk along the shore on one of the last undeveloped barrier islands in northeast Florida.

A great way to enjoy the island is to take an EcoMotion tour. These Segway tours will take you on a guided tour through maritime forests and beautiful beaches on Little Talbot and Fort George Island.

Segways are almost like scooters- they have two wheels and they respond to the way that you “lean” on them to make turns. Some police officers use these neat Segways for evil – like cruising for expired meters and writing tickets.

While they look a lot like scooters, they are powered by electricity (battery) rather than physical force. These Segway Tours offer a unique and unforgettable experience and allow you to explore all that Little Talbot has to offer in a fun and interesting way.

Camping is popular here. Campsites are full service and located in beautiful maritime forests full of nature’s beauty.

Pets are allowed in designated areas of the campground and some other areas of the park, but are not allowed everywhere, so it’s important to keep this in mind if you are bringing your favorite canine along.

Surprisingly, “Little Talbot,” offers much more to do than “Big Talbot” as far as activities go and the potential for fun for the whole family is anything but small!
